Rıfat Ilgaz was born in Cide on 7 May 1911. The house he was born in is now open to visitors as a museum.
On display are the writer's works, personal belongings, writing desk, library and bed, along with photographs from across his life.
The house also hosts the annual Cide Rıfat Ilgaz Sarıyazma Culture and Arts Festival.
