About
Mukadderat is a feature film directed by Nadim Güç, from a screenplay by Erdi Işık, who is from Cide. Filming began in Cide in June 2024 and was finished in roughly two months.
The market scenes — where the central character, Sultan, goes into trade and sets herself against a male-run order — were shot in Cide's own markets, with people from the district appearing as extras.
The film won three awards at the 61st International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival: Best Feature Film, Best Actress (Nur Sürer) and Best Supporting Actor (Osman Sonant).
